In 2016 Core embarked upon a self initiated exploration of wine branding. There were two main goals for the project: firstly to create a wine brand that was young and vibrant, that would appeal to a younger generation of wine drinkers, but with a name and expertise rooted in tradition. Secondly to utilise the project as a pitch to contacts within the Niagara wine region. The concept design was featured on The Dieline, the world’s most visited packaging design website. They described the packaging as: “...hypnotizing as it is beautiful, as soothing as it is exciting. The repetitive designs are utterly captivating. Against the black background, the fine coloured lines give the images a sense of movement, like psychedelic curves and lines that seem to reveal something the longer you look at it. The detail of the logo looks classy and refined, while the near-neon hues give the wine a dose of energy. Ravel Wines seems to be geared towards a more youthful crowd who doesn’t want to compromise excellent taste in wine.” Thanks to The Dieline for the feature and the kind words.
