In 2016 Core created the brand identity for Nip in the Bud, a charity based in the UK. Nip in the Bud films are designed to educate parents, teachers and the general public about children’s mental health issues. The films aim to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage early intervention by showing the symptoms, causes and effects of mental health issues in children. We created a bright, youthful colour palette and brand system that worked as a framework for the films, as well as the communication collateral used to market the films and charity. In addition to creating the brand identity for Nip in the Bud, we also worked with the film director to produce three breakout animation sequences for the films 'An Introduction to Conduct Disorder in Children', 'An Introduction to Depression in Children' and 'An Introduction to Anxiety in Children'. The films are regularly aired on the community channel in the UK, and the feedback from the films and to the identity has been amazing.
